End of life ceremonies provide an opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one in a way that is as personal and unique as the person themselves.
The loss of a loved one can be a difficult experience and the thought of arranging a funeral or memorial can be overwhelming.
My role as a Celebrant is to guide you through the process of arranging a personal ceremony with your loved one at the heart. I am there to support you and your family and I promise to create a perfect eulogy that is meaningful, heartfelt and reflects yourself and your families wishes, thoughts and ideas.
You can engage my services either through your funeral director (just give them my contact details) or you can contact me directly.
What can you expect from me
- Once you or your funeral director have made contact with me. I will arrange to visit you at your home or at a mutually agreed meeting place to discuss the necessary arrangements with you, other family members and/or friends. I can also arrange to do the arrangements by Zoom, Facetime or Messenger if any of these options suit better. Arrangements tend to range between 1 and 2 hours
- At the meeting, we will talk about your loved one’s life in detail to create the perfect ceremony and Eulogy. We will discuss any thoughts or ideas you may have for what you would like to happen during the ceremony. We will discuss options for music and/or hymns for the entrance, exit and reflection, readings and or poems and whether anyone from your family or friends would like to participate in the ceremony. Together, we will create the perfect send off for your loved one.
- Following on from our meeting, I will create a fitting and personal Eulogy. I will contact you a few days prior to the service so you can proof read the full ceremony to ensure that it meets with your approval. I can send this either by email or hand deliver.
- I will maintain contact with you by telephone or email in the days between our meeting, proof reading, and the service.
- On the day of the funeral, I will conduct the ceremony together with your chosen Funeral Director, will support you on what can be a difficult and emotional day.
Additional services available are the Scattering of Ashes Ceremonies, Interment of Ashes, Dedications and Memorial Ceremonies.
